Coach – Attend a coaching clinic with UMSA.
• Teach the skills of softball to players. For younger players using Learn to Play concepts.
• Share responsibilities of making a line up and carrying the equipment bag with Assistant Coaches.

Assistant Coach
• Attend a coaching clinic with UMSA.
• Teach the skills of softball players. For younger players using Learn to play concepts.
• Share responsibilities of making a lie up and carrying the equipment bag.

Convenor
• Work as a liaison between the parents/ players of your division and the UMSA executive/
• Contacting previous members to determine their status.
• Searching for volunteers to coach or assist from registered players.
• Notifying coaches and other volunteers of clinic schedule.
• Aid in drafting division teams with a team selection committee.
• Delivering schedules, uniforms, etc. to all teams in the division.
• Liaison between Equipment Manager and coach to maintain equipment throughout the season.
• On the final weekend, help with tallying, distributing trophies and awards, and the skills competition.
• Meet with the Executive throughout planned meetings pre-season.
• Helping prepare for the Pre-season and Annual General Meeting.
*No softball experience required. Organization is an asset and this is a values administrative position!

Select Coach
• Hold tryouts for eligible players.
• Select a team from eligible and qualified players.
• Hold weekly practices and may set up games with other associations.
• Attend tournaments throughout the summer in Unionville as well as other areas around the GTA as well as a provincial tournament.
• Coach the team with two assistants.

Opening Day & Closing Day Committee
• Set Up & Tear Down
• Raffle
• Food Tent – BBQ (set up, wrap food, front table food handout, food ticket/coupon booth)
• Special Event Tent (Lollipop Pull and other promotions)
• Garage Sale (selling of balls, hats, helmets, socks, etc.)
• Selling Spirit Wear

Fundraising Committee
• Items for goodie bags.
• Raffle prizes.
• Help sell raffle coupons.
• Find sponsors for teams, tournaments, etc.
*No softball experience required.

Equipment
• Inventory count in the equipment room.
• Check equipment boxes throughout summer for proper equipment and first aid supplies.
*No softball experience required.

Administration and Registration
• Delivering pamphlets and flyers to local schools and community centres.
• Volunteer with in-person registration dates at local community centres.
• Signing in players at clinics and open practices.
*No softball experience required.
